Our Makers

We collaborate with a network of 85+ artisans, cooperatives, and manufacturers across Rwanda.

This entrepreneurial model supports local makers and material suppliers, contributes to the regional economy, and assists in the creation of new supply chains. Many of the artisans in our network have been able to expand their workshops and hire more craftspeople, spurring job creation and economic growth. Connecting artisans in different regions of the country with one another has also made it possible to explore new applications of traditional techniques, elevate fabrication quality, and forge new collaborations.

Core Team

In 2018, we established the MASS.Made Workshop in Kigali where we could design and prototype the collection, and bring local craftspeople together to figure out how the pieces could be made by as many hands as possible.
